Future Plans

None

Completed Work

April 2024

  • Re-adjust antenna once Mount Allison dish is installed.
  • Replace missing radio bolt.

March 2024 / 2

  • Adjust dish positioning to improve SNR.

March 2024 / 1

  • Replace Mimosa power solution with injector + power controller (ezOutlet5)
    • The B11 radio required more power (just occasionally) than the router could provide, causing resets.
February 2024
  • Adjusted and raised dish to try to get connection to Fire Station 8, but failed. Looks like the landfill is just too high now.
  • Repointed dish at Mount Allison for alternate path.
    • Observer 10GHz beacon at Mt Allison on radio's spectrum analyzer
January 2024 / 3
  • Added 10 GHz Mimosa dish on roof, pointing at Fire Station 8
    • Connection could not be made. The other end is not yet aligned. It's also possible the link is non-viable as the "tip" near the Bay may be too high now and obstructing.

January 2024 / 2

  • Installed KVM
  • Labelled newly installed cables
  • Terminated and installed roof ethernet
    • Cable has been pulled to the roof by HE.

January 2024 / 1

  • Installed 1G and 10G optics for later use

December 2023 / 3

  • Setup peering with ARIX on 1G optics

December 2023 / 2

  • Installed new PDU
  • Removed Media Converter
  • Installed Mikrotik CRS309-1G-8S+IN Switch to support multiple incoming fibers
  • Configured BGP
  • Configured OSPF
  • Configured Wireguard to Oxford as temporary link until dish installed
  • Switched FCIX optics to 10G
  • Installed HE fiber in 1G optics on switch

December 2023 / 1

  • Installed Router
  • Installed Proxmox Server
  • Installed SFP Media Converter
  • Attached HE fiber to Router
