Major Discussions Topics

  • Cameras
    • Mathison has a new PTZ camera looking for a good home. Thinks a good 360 site would be best.
  • PBX
    • As the BAM PBX is not functional, Mathison is working to build a new one.
  • Emeryville commercial site
    • Tim provided an update on the Emeryville commercial site where a company is interested in helping the community by hosting nodes. They have excellent LoS to Fish Ranch and could provide good sector coverage of Emeryville and Berkeley.
    • Hoping to get some go/no-go feedback this week.
  • Club visits
    • Scott and Jim are planning to visit a couple of radio clubs in the south bay to encourage adoption.
  • Mt Thayer
    • Scott & Jim are planning an outing to Mt Thayer (37.163398, -121.919196) to see what current AREDN infrastructure is visible from that location. It might make a good high-site as there's good visibility to the location from much of San Jose.
  • San Leandro
    • John has a potential lead on San Leandro access via a K6EOK
  • Allison (Scott McQueen)
    • Active debate on how best to get into Allison. There are a several routes, and redundancy might not be a bad thing. On route is from Black Mountain via Jim and Matthew Kaufmann. We can also get their via Fire Station 8, Sunol Peak, San Carlos and even San Bruno Mtn.
