Experiment

Link Quality Management Experimental UI

The Link Quality Management (LQM) experiment was run for a few weeks between April and June 2022. The experiment can be found here. It provided some simple tools to monitor and modify what link quality was acceptable. Experimental results between nodes on the BAM network were extremely encouraging with typical bandwidth improvements of 300% observed.

Integration

Link Quality Management Integrated UI

AREDN release 3.22.6.0 (June 2022) is the first release of the AREDN firmware to include LQM, but it was disabled by default. LQM can be enabled on the Advanced Configuration page. LQM is enabled by default in future releases and nightly builds.
