- Open Apple Mail
- From the menu, select Mail -> Add Account...
- A popup will show some options. Pick Other Mail Account... and click Continue
- In the dialog:
- For Name enter it as you'd prefer it to be displayed, but it should include your callsign.
- For Email Address enter the full email address, which will be of for form <callsign>@bam-mail.local.mesh. You must include whole the thing, not just the callsign.
- For Password enter the password you were given when you signed up.
- Click Sign In to continue.
- A new dialog will be displayed which requires more detailed information.
- Email Address should be filled in correctly.
- Username will be Automatic. Leave this.
- Password should be filled in correctly.
- Account Type will read IMAP which is correct.
- Incoming Mail Server will read mail.example.com. Replace this with bam-mail.local.mesh
- Outgoing Mail Server will read mail.example.com. Replace this with bam-mail.local.mesh
- Click Sign In to continue.
- The next step can take longer than seems reasonable but eventually a dialog will appear warning that your password cannot be sent securely. Ths is because we do not support encryption. Click Continue. This may happen multiple times.
- Finally, a dialog will ask which apps should use this account. Select just Mail the click Done.
